Due to our busy work programme we are looking to recruit a volunteer Field Officer to give us a hand.
Volunteer Field Officer – Countryside Management & Conservation
Kent High Weald Partnership are a team of passionate people who work really hard to make our green spaces awesome for wildlife and people. We deliver a range of conservation and land management tasks across the Kent High Weald through a friendly and committed team of volunteers
Typical tasks might include stream enhancement and Natural Flood Measures, installing boardwalks, post and rail fences and gates, heathland and woodland management and a range of other community projects.
Where: You’ll be based at our offices at Bedgebury Pinetum and working across the Borough of Tunbridge Wells.
When: We are looking for someone to join us for 6 months from October 2019 until March 2020, working Wednesday and/or Thursday ideally 08.30 – 16.00, days and times are flexible.
What: You’ll be working alongside members of our permanent staff team to support delivering scheduled tasks.
Who: Someone with an interest in and passion for, conservation, working as a team, enthusiasm for developing practical skills. You’ll need to be physically fit, have a flexible approach and willing to use your initiative.
Why: In return we can provide a great opportunity for some practical and diverse work experience within a team of dedicated professionals who love what we do! We’ll provide an induction, First aid training and any other training that pops up! as well as chances to develop hands-on skills and leadership. We will provide you with a uniform and PPE.
This is an unpaid role but we are able to reimburse reasonable travel expenses.
