Partnership Officer (Maternity Cover)
An exciting opportunity to join our small, friendly team helping to connect adults and children to nature in the High Weald area of Kent.
The Kent High Weald Partnership is based at Bedgebury Pinetum and operates across the borough of Tunbridge Wells, working within the varied and beautiful landscape of the High Weald National Landscape. The Partnership aims to connect people and nature through conservation, education and wellbeing.
As our Partnership Officer you will take a lead role in delivering our nature-based education and wellbeing offer. This includes Forest School programmes, guided education visits at Bedgebury Pinetum, nature connection wellbeing programmes, and our community allotment project. You will also help to engage communities with their local greenspaces through events, volunteer days and environmental projects.
We are looking for an enthusiast person with knowledge, experience and practical skills in nature-based education and wellbeing initiatives, and community engagement. The role requires good communication skills, and a self-motivated and flexible approach to work.

This role is a maternity cover post, fixed term for one year, and candidates looking for full or part time hours are invited to apply. The full time salary for this role will be £29,167.

TRAINEESHIPS
Traineeships are available at KHWP. If you are an enthusiastic person who wants to gain valuable experience, qualifications, and skills in conservation and site management this is the role for you. Our traineeships provide a fantastic opportunity to learn and develop key skills such habitat management, leading volunteers, species identification, and risk assessments, providing you with a strong foundation for a future career in conservation. The role is voluntary with a budget for training and travel expenses and a high percentage of trainees go on to paid employment following the role.
