Connect with Nature is an online course focussed on connecting people with nature and enjoying the wellbeing benefits it brings. Over 8 weeks you will take part in a short, weekly online group session where we will discuss and learn about different nature-based topics in a relaxed and informal manner. In between the sessions you will have the option to take on small, easy, and enjoyable nature challenges set for you during the group discussion.
If you would like to know more, wish to take part, or would like to commission a programme, please contact Cally at KHWP by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 07545 743416.
This course is delivered regularly as part of the Live Well Kent and Medway service – contact your local Live Well Kent Community Navigator to make a referral or use the LWK online referral link below.
Feedback previous participants:
“Attending this course has helped me be less isolated, mix with others more easily and remind me on a regular basis to take greater care of myself by taking regular time out. The mindfulness tips have been most useful in helping me deal with anxiety etc. Having a supportive peer group who understand, has been essential to my progress.”
“I enjoyed the weekly challenges and that we had no pressure placed on us to have to publicly contribute with the group unless we felt that we could.”
“I had become so overtaken and consumed by own psychology, issues and challenges that I think I have been walking around with a severe case of myopia. Connect with Nature has been helping me to notice beautiful things again, further than the end of my nose.”
“It has been a BIG step for me to use Zoom but most of all activating the camera with it. Up until Connect with Nature I had not allowed even my children to look at me on such platforms. I had only done voice calls.”
